Pen to Paper

Trust me, you and I are both surprised that there is even a blog section on this website. To be completely honest, I don’t even know if there is any traffic on this website but here we are. There’s a couple of reasons why I decided to start a blog. I was inspired by reading blog entries from Bobby Hundreds (from thehundreds.com) and it was cool to see that he’s always been a constant voice in the streetwear industry. He had mentioned that people were drawn to his website for the blog posts more than anything and I thought that was pretty dope. I also wanted to write a blog to document my thought process as I try to figure out what it is that I want to do. As some of you have been following my journey, I’ve documented my process in becoming a videographer and within two years, had an opportunity to move to New York to work full time. I’ve since move back and found myself freelancing for a time but the thought of working with just anyone to make ends meet wasn’t all that appealing to me - so I got a regular 9-5. I’m currently sitting in my cubicle studying for this exam for work but the main reason why I left freelancing to work at a bank was because I wanted to constrict the time I had to be creative. In my eyes, limiting that time will focus my creative efforts and giving me the time to be at work will allow my imagination to run wild. Currently, I have some ideas brewing - maybe a clothing brand, maybe producing a youtube series, maybe go back to school and pick up some necessary skills future-me would appreciate (like graphic design or computer science). This is the first of many. And who knows, maybe one of these ideas will blow up and sure enough, you’ll hear it on here first - from my thoughts to pen to paper.
